Looking back at these Scrolls, it’s wild to think our names were probably inked together long before we actually met. We didn’t exactly get a "peaceful era" to start our journey. We jumped straight into the chaos, facing the storms of the last few years without much of a breather.
From the jump, you weren’t just a partner; you were a Guardian. When I was stretched thin caring for my grandmother and my mother, you were the Spirit Energy that kept me from actually breaking. You held me up through those final battles, and even while we were navigating the loss of your own mother from a distance, you never faltered. You chose us. You chose to lead this family and adopt our kids, proving that loyalty isn't just a word, it’s a bond that can’t be broken.
We’ve moved house more times than I care to count, and we've navigated the messy labyrinths of health struggles that would have leveled most people. We said goodbye to our best dog, cried, and then somehow found the room to let two more (mostly) into our hearts. No matter how much noise the world makes outside, you’ve remained my Safe Realm.
Your strength is a marvel—and I don’t just mean your grit, though you have plenty of that. It’s your humor. You have this way of taking our absolute hardest, lowest days and turning them into punchlines. You’ve proven that no amount of despair can actually stand a chance against your wit.
We finally have our own sanctuary now, a place to actually grow away from the battlefield. Even after the loss and the exhaustion, I look at you and feel like we’re still on Day One. My love hasn't just stayed the same, it’s evolved into something legendary.
